Structured Cabling Contractor for Brevard County, Florida.
The cabling infrastructure that keeps Brevard County's businesses, schools, and institutions connected. Florida-licensed, RCDD-led, BICSI-member — proven across aerospace, government, and enterprise environments on the Space Coast.
Every device on your Brevard network depends on the cabling underneath.
Every computer, IP phone, Wi-Fi access point, and security camera in your Melbourne, Cocoa, or Palm Bay office depends on the underlying structured cabling to operate reliably. Poor cabling design leads to slow networks, dropped connections, failed surveillance systems, and expensive troubleshooting calls long after the install.
BBTS engineers structured cabling to TIA/EIA standards with an RCDD on staff and a Florida Low Voltage Contractor license. We understand the unique demands of the Space Coast — from the high-security requirements of NASA-adjacent facilities to the reliability needs of mission-critical aerospace and government operations.

Every cable type. Every closet build-out. One Brevard contractor.
From a single new drop in an existing Cocoa office to ground-up greenfield infrastructure for new construction across Melbourne and the Space Coast.
Cat6 / Cat6A Copper
Industry-standard twisted-pair for office workstations, IP phones, Wi-Fi access points, and security cameras. Cat6A delivers 10Gbps over 100m for businesses planning ahead.
Single-Mode & Multi-Mode Fiber
Backbone connections, building-to-building runs, and high-bandwidth applications. Single-mode for distance, multi-mode for in-building 10/40/100GbE.
MDF / IDF Closet Build-Outs
Racks, patch panels, cable management, ladder rack, power, and labeling. Done so a future technician can immediately understand how the system is wired.
Cable Testing & Certification
Every cable run is tested with calibrated equipment to TIA standards. You get a certification report per drop, plus as-built diagrams and labeling.
Raceway, Conduit & Pathway
Surface raceway in finished spaces, conduit through walls and underground, J-hooks above ceilings — code-compliant pathways throughout.
Pre-Construction Design Assist
For new builds and renovations across Brevard. We work with architects and contractors during design to specify pathways, riser systems, MDF/IDF placement.
RCDD-engineered. Florida-licensed. Tested and certified.
The same five-step process whether it's 10 drops or 10,000 — for offices, schools, hospitals, and aerospace facilities across Brevard.
On-Site Survey & Cable Count
We walk the building, identify cable routes, locate the MDF/IDF, count drops, and assess existing conduit, ceilings, and pathways before quoting.
RCDD Design & Materials List
Our RCDD designs the system to TIA/EIA standards with spare capacity built in. You get a documented design and firm materials list before work starts.
Licensed Florida Installation
Florida Low Voltage Contractor technicians pull, terminate, label, and dress every cable. Pathways meet code; cable management looks clean.
Test, Certify & Document
Every drop is tested with calibrated equipment. You get a certification report, as-built diagrams, and labeled patch-panel documentation.
40+ years pulling cable across Florida's Space Coast.
FL Licensed Low Voltage Contractor
Florida-licensed, insured, and bonded. Licensed contractors are held to code standards, bonded for your protection, and accountable for quality work.
RCDD on Staff
Registered Communications Distribution Designer certification means our lead engineer understands enterprise cabling design standards. RCDD holders design systems that actually work.

Brevard Structured Cabling FAQ
What's the difference between Cat6 and fiber optic cabling?
Cat6 (copper twisted pair) is the industry standard for in-building networks — affordable, easy to install, sufficient for most office and retail applications. Fiber optic uses light instead of electricity, immune to electromagnetic interference, supporting much higher speeds over longer distances. Fiber is ideal for backbone cabling between buildings, high-security environments, or future-proofing. BBTS designs systems using both — copper for workstations, fiber for backbone.
How long does it take to install structured cabling in Brevard?
Timeline depends on facility size and complexity. A small office (10–20 drops) might take 1–2 weeks. A larger facility (50+ drops with fiber backbone) takes 3–8 weeks. We create a detailed project timeline during design so you know exactly when work happens. We work nights/weekends if needed to minimize impact on your operations.
Do we need to move out during cabling installation?
Not necessarily. We phase the work carefully — typically installing cabling during after-hours or weekends, then switching equipment over during a planned cutover window. Most Brevard County clients experience zero downtime. For facilities where any disruption is unacceptable, we work entirely after-hours or coordinate with your operations team for a planned maintenance window.
What should we do with old cabling when we upgrade?
BBTS removes old cabling and properly disposes of it or recycles it. We leave your facility clean. Some clients keep old cabling as backup, but in most cases, removal is the best option so you're not paying for unused infrastructure. We include removal in the project scope and budget.
Do you provide warranties on cabling installation?
Yes. BBTS warrants the installation and cabling materials for 5 years — covers defects in materials or workmanship. Most cable manufacturers also provide 20-year warranties on the cable itself. If a problem occurs, we troubleshoot and fix it quickly.
Do you have experience with NASA-adjacent or aerospace contractor cabling?
Yes. BBTS has installed cabling systems for Brevard County aerospace contractors, government agencies, school districts, healthcare providers, and Fortune 500 branches. We understand the unique demands of the Space Coast — from the high-security requirements of NASA-adjacent facilities to the reliability needs of mission-critical operations.
